Content Sharing Policy

This Content Sharing Policy (“Policy”) explains how submissions from members and guests ("Member Content") are accepted, reviewed, displayed, credited, and reused across ChiefExperts.com and ChiefExpertsAcademy.com (the "Site") and related products, communities, and events operated by Chief Experts, Inc. ("Chief Experts"). This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions and works alongside our Privacy Policy.

1) What You Can Submit

You may submit plans, details, forms, libraries, templates, macros, symbols, screenshots, models, lesson ideas, checklists, images, and similar training artifacts relevant to Chief Architect or the design‑build business. Do not submit confidential or regulated information (see §8).

2) Submission Types
We support two submission types. Choose one when you upload:
  • A. Share with the Community
Intended for publication to Pro Academy members (and sometimes the public). These items may be showcased in lessons, downloads, live sessions, marketing, and social posts. Pre‑publication approval is required (see #5).

  • B. Review‑Only (Private)
Intended for internal review/feedback by Chief Experts and optionally select contractors or moderators working under NDA with Chief Experts. These items are not published without your separate, explicit approval (see #6).

If your upload uses a single form for both purposes, select the appropriate checkbox so we handle it correctly.

3) License You Grant
  • Share with the Community: You grant Chief Experts a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, edit for clarity, create derivative instructional works, translate, publish, perform, display, and distribute your submission within our training products, Pro Academy, communities, and related promotional materials. This license survives termination only for materials already created or distributed.

  • Review‑Only (Private): You grant Chief Experts a limited license to access, review, and internally use your submission to provide feedback and improve our Services. We will not publish or share the file beyond our review team without your separate, written approval. We may request such approval if we believe your submission would benefit the community; you may decline.

4) Warranties; Your Responsibility
You represent and warrant that you own or control the rights to your submission and that it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, contract, privacy, publicity, or other rights. You must remove or anonymize personal/identifying data of clients or third parties unless you have their written permission. You are responsible for code and plan compliance; always verify with your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and qualified professionals.

5) Publication & Approval (Shareable Submissions)
  • We review all Shareable submissions for suitability, safety, and clarity.

  • Before public/member posting, we will request your approval of the display page (title, description, preview images, and download bundle).

  • We may edit titles/descriptions for clarity, correct minor errors, standardize file formats, and add annotations or metadata. Substantive edits to your underlying files will be done with your knowledge.

6) Handling Review‑Only Submissions
  • Used only to give you feedback or for internal training of our moderators.

  • We may summarize or anonymize review‑only items for internal lessons; these are not published.

  • If we’d like to publish portions, we’ll ask for your written permission first.

7) Attribution & Credits
  • We display the contributor's name and company (if provided) for Shareable items. You may request anonymity or company‑only credit.

  • You grant us permission to resize/crop thumbnails and to create preview imagery.

  • Where feasible, we will include a brief contributor note or link to your member profile.

8) Prohibited or Sensitive Content
Do not submit: confidential project data; client personal information; health, financial, or other regulated data; illegal content; hate speech; pornographic/sexually explicit content; malware; or materials that could reasonably create safety risks onsite. Remove addresses and identifying metadata from plan sets unless permission is obtained.

9) Moderation; Removals; Takedowns
We may decline or remove content at our discretion. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact our DMCA Agent (see Terms). We also accept removal/changes requests from contributors at [email protected] (subject to reasonable processing time and technical feasibility, and excluding materials already incorporated into recorded lessons or distributed bundles).

10) AI Processing
We may use automated tools, including AI, to organize, classify, summarize, format, annotate, or generate derivative explanatory materials from Member Content for moderation, education, demonstration, or product improvement. AI processing does not transfer ownership of your files.

11) Event Recordings & Live Sessions
Participation in live/virtual sessions may be recorded. By attending, you grant us permission to record, edit, and use your image, voice, and contributions for educational and promotional purposes, as outlined in the Terms.

12) Liability & Disclaimers
Member Content is provided as‑is by peers. Chief Experts does not verify accuracy, legality, or suitability. Use at your own risk. Always confirm with your AHJ and qualified professionals.

13) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where required, by additional notice. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
