Design Services Rates

A guideline to use for a complete set of plans for a remodeling project is approximately 2% to 5% of the total sales price. This includes the As-Built measuring, conceptual drawings, 3D views and renderings and complete working drawings.

There are many things that can affect the price of the plans including the total number of meetings, changes, and the amount of detail needed.

My standard individual hourly rate is $95.00 per hour billable in 15 minute increments. To help you save some money I also offer my services in hourly blocks paid in advance. 5 hour blocks at $85.00 per hour and 10 hour blocks at $75.00 per hour.

A standard As-Built measure on a typical 2000 sf house takes 4 - 8 hours. This includes the entire house, complete details including electrical and HVAC and the lot. Since I draw the house on my laptop - onsite, when I finish the As-Build measure you will know everything you need to about the house you're working on. With a 1-inch tolerance the accurate As-Built plan will lead the way towards a very cost effective plan for the remodeling project. I've been doing this for years and have proven time and time again that the patience involved in this process saves my clients lots of money.
