Did you know that beating your computer with a hammer because it's not doing what you want, is not a recommended procedure? That cussing at your screen because the roofs on your plan look like something from another planet is not going to magically correct them.
Don't feel bad. I've worked with many people that have felt the same way and struggled with the same difficulties. Siding on the inside of the building, floors not in the right place, stairs going haywire, dimensions not accurate, windows not lining up, plans not printing properly, etc. Sound familiar?
Automatic roofs are great, right? When they work! Did you know that the automatic roof generator in Chief Architect will get between 0% and 100% of your roof correct? Did you know that when you select "Build Roofs" that Chief is only doing one thing? That's right one thing. There is no magic. The program is not reading your mind.
I suppose some day they may invent some wireless device that you can aim at your forehead and the program will do exactly what you want. But until that day comes you'll have to communicate the correct information from your brain to your hands to guide your mouse and keyboard to do the right things to get the desired results.
Coaching you through the right way to get the results you want is my job.
I'll show you the right steps to produce any roof you want on any plan at any time. Never again when a client wants to add a dormer or try a different type of roof will you cringe with pain because you'll be up all night trying to figure it out.
It's really cool to see the lights come on for someone in my seminars. Typically an average Chief user will only use a small percentage of the features that the program has to offer. It seems like such a waste to have such a powerful tool and not put it to use. It's sort of like trying to cut a 2x4 with the latest and greatest power saw with the blade in backwards. You'll eventually get through the board but at what expense.
There actually is a correct way to draw a plan. Many users will lay out walls, add some dimensions, put in all the doors, windows, cabinets, add some roofs, throw on a deck and add all sorts of other detail to a plan. Then they'll wonder why their floors don't work or why the walls aren't lining up and are sticking through the roof.
I'll show you the correct steps to take when you're drawing a plan.
I had a contractor in a seminar a few years ago that showed me a split level plan that he and a friend had spent over two days working on and they were going nuts. The plan was not working at all. I got a call from him a few days after he attended my seminar and he said that using what he had learned they started the plan over and in two hours had the split level model the way they wanted it and were well on their way to adding the final details.
Had he taken the seminar sooner he would have saved 8 - 12 hours of time and could have been working on other projects instead of pulling his hair out on that one relatively simple plan. The time he saved on that one project more than paid for his seminar and today he is producing remodeling projects that typically sell for $400k and up and he's having fun producing the plans.
I've heard stories like these from many of the people that have taken my Chief Architect seminars and webinars.
Over the years I've developed systems that help you get the most out of Chief and bring them to you in live seminars and webinars.

Read what others say about my Chief Architect seminars
You've probably noticed that I've used the word "Guaranteed" in this letter. I'll explain shortly what my guarantee to you is and why you can't go wrong taking one of my Chief Architect seminars. But first I'd like to highlight my qualifications to teach Chief and why you can feel confident that you will benefit way beyond the cost of the seminar and the time you'll take away from your busy schedule.
My Name is Dan Baumann I purchased Chief Architect V1 in 1993 to use in my remodeling business. My serial number was 0094. I received the program, installed it on my computer and within minutes I was hooked. I knew that this program was going to change the way that contractors, designers and architects were going to do their plans and interact with thier clients.
Shortly after that I became a dealer and beta tester for V2. Enter the world of 3D. I finally had a way to communicate with my clients about their remodeling projects in a way I never thought possible. Those were exciting times and I wanted others to know about Chief Architect. I sold the program and in my spare time produced the first of a series of training videos.
In the years that followed, I've produced training videos through version 5, taught Chief seminars on a regular basis and discovered ways to use the program that no one thought possible. I was excited about how Chief helped many contractors become more profitable by communicating better with their clients, employees, subcontractors and suppliers.
In 1996 after 20 years as a remodeling contractor I stopped doing construction to pursue a full time career helping users become more profitable using Chief Architect. I produced a 21 hour set of training CD's for V6 while continuing doing seminars and plans for contractors and homeowners.
So after 20 years as a remodeling contractor, 16 years being involved with Chief Architect, teaching thousands of people how to use the program and personally drawing thousands of plans, I can't wait to share my all-new series of Chief Architect training materials with you.
